Job search and American Idol starts!

I had a job interview this morning.  It lasted all of about 15 minutes, during which I deduced that I was way overqualified for the job.  I'm not saying I'm too good for the job, because any job is better than none, but it's minimum wage and only part-time.  And get this, I'd actually be doing some graphic design stuff.  Talk about underpaid!  When I was leaving, the manager said that hopefully they'd get back in touch with me.  Well, about 20 minutes later, he called and offered me the job.  I'm still mulling it over, but I don't know if it would be worth my time.  I would hate to accept it and then find a better job.  Honestly, I'd make more drawing unemployment, which I found out that I'm qualified for.  I don't know if I'm going to sign up for it, but at least it's an option.

I have a phone interview this afternoon for a nanny position.  I know I don't have much experience with childcare (okay, none), but I think it would be a good job for me and one I would enjoy.  We'll see how that goes...

I have another interview tomorrow with an employment agency that Steven works with.  I guess it's just so they can get to know me and see what kind of job I would be qualified for.  It's not for a particular job, so I'm not really that nervous about it.  But maybe they can find me something.

American Idol starts tonight!  I can't believe this is going to be Simon's last season.  It won't be the same without him because he actually tells the truth instead of sugar coating everything.  He said he's going to do an American version of Britain's "X Factor"... isn't that called America's Got Talent?  I thought AGT was the American version of X Factor.  I'm a little confused by that.  I don't like that show anyway.  Maybe I would like it if Simon was on there, but this is what really annoys me... on America's Got Talent, 2/3 of the judges are British... doesn't that defeat the purpose?  At least on American Idol, 3/4 of the judges are American.  But for all I care, they can kick Kara DioGuardi off of AI because what does she really contribute anyway?  Okay, enough of that.

Have a great day and wish me luck with my job hunting endeavor!  :)
