The Bachelorette: 13 down, 12 to go!

Tuesday, June 8, 2010

The Bachelorette came on last night.  It was a two-hour episode, and at the end, only 12 guys were left standing.  The whole episode revolved around all of the guys ganging up on Justin.  They think he is two-faced and there for the wrong reasons.  I don't really know if he is or not, but from what I can tell, he seems sincere.  They bashed him for making an unscheduled trip to Ali's house and taking time away from Hunter (who ended up not getting a rose on his one-on-one).  Usually, The Bachelorette is way more laid back in the drama department than The Bachelor is, because typically girls are way more catty and jealous.  Sooo not the case this time.  Last week, the episode revolved around how much everyone hated Craig M. (who was sent home, thank goodness).

Here's who's left:
Chris L. - Landscaper; Cape Cod, MA
Chris N. - Entrepreneur; Orlando, FL
Craig R. - Lawyer; Philadelphia, PA
Frank - Retail Manager; Geneva, IL
Jesse - Contractor; Kansas City, MO
Jonathan - Weatherman; Houston, TX
Justin - Entertainment Wrestler; Toronto, Canada
Kasey - Advertising Executive; San Luis Obispo, CA
Kirk - Sales Consultant; Madison, WI
Roberto - Insurance Agent; Charleston, SC
Ty - Medical Sales; Franklin, TN
Tyler V. - Online Advertising; Milford, VT

Anywho, Ali seems to really like Frank, Kirk, and Roberto.  I don't think Jesse and Jonathan will last too much longer, and I know Chris N. won't be making it to the end either because he's barely been on the show at all.  And from what I can tell of the previews next week, Kasey will turn out to be a weirdo (plus his voice gets on my last nerve).  Craig R. kind of gets on my nerves, and Tyler V.'s eyebrows bother me (he always looks surprised!).  Even though I like Ty's southern accent, there's just something about him that makes me think he's not right for Ali.  Chris L. seems to have a lot in common with Ali but is afraid to open up.  And then there's Justin the wrestler, who all the guys hate.  It was sweet of him to surprise Ali at her house, but that doesn't mean he's right for her.  I think she's keeping him on at this point out of sympathy.  So we'll see where it goes from here.  Just keep your fingers crossed for Frank and Roberto for sure!  Frank is so cute and there's just something about Roberto that I love.

Finally, a word to the producers of The Bachelorette:  Enough with the two-hour episodes.  I'm lucky if I can sit through a one-hour show without falling asleep, getting distracted, or finding something better to do.  You're seriously pushing your luck with these long, drawn out episodes.  EDIT!

I know I blog about TV shows a lot, and I apologize.  It's probably really boring to hear my takes on inane reality television, but this is pretty much what my life consists of:  work, come home, cook dinner, butt glued to couch, bed.  I will try to be more interesting in the future.
