Goodbye The Frozen North, Hello Home Sweet Home!

Monday, December 20, 2010

We moved Sunday.

Now here I am, back in North Carolina, with a brand new blog name and design!  So be honest, what do you think?  I've spent many hours googling different aspects of blog design, and I think I came up with something I can live with (at least for a little while).  2027 pays homage to our home, because boy oh boy are we glad to be back!

I'll miss Ohio, but as Dorothy says, there's no place like home.

So what have I been up to the last few days?

Packing, packing, and more packing.

But, finally, it was all done and there were three things left:

Maggie, Abbie, and a Netflix movie.

So today, we unloaded the U-Haul, and disaster inevitably followed...

Random coffee mugs, owls and cleaning products, mixed in with a few Christmas decorations.

Boxes, boxes, boxes and random bath mats on the chair?  Check!

Cat carriers, a Christmas tree and crafty supplies take up the hallway...

In the guest room:  Christmas presents and Wii Fit in the laundry basket, TV and TV stand that may not even end up in this room, mattresses, and of course, wrapping paper.

And finally, the mountain of boxes in our bedroom.  Seriously, why do we own this many clothes?  But hey, at least I made the bed today!
If you think this is bad, just remember, you haven't even seen the basement or the garage!  I have my work cut out for me this week but I am determined to have it all done by Thursday afternoon!  What do you think, can it be done?

It's so nice to be back in a house again, especially our house.  I just keep thinking, if I want to put a nail in the wall, there's no one to stop me!  Or if I want to paint the laundry closet, I can do it without having to worry about painting it back.  Plus it just feels like home.

So, welcome, dear friends, to 2027, where craftiness resides, but randomness prevails.
