What I Wore Wednesday

Wednesday, February 2, 2011

Forgive my lack of WIWW participation, but I was so bored with my wardrobe that I had basically given up.  A trip to Gap last week (as well as a couple items picked up at Target and Old Navy) changed all that!  I mean, it's nothing spectacular, but having a couple new articles of clothing to throw into the mix really brightens my outlook on getting dressed!

Also, by the way, January was my second least-active month with only 8 posts.  I didn't work all of January.  What exactly was I doing with my time other than talking to you fabulous people?  I feel I have much more inspiration when I'm doing something other than watching daytime TV and going to Target.  Hopefully February will be better.

Another thing about February.  The 18th marks my hubby's and my 7th dating anniversary.  Do any of you still celebrate (or at least recognize) the day you and your significant other started dating after you get married?  It seems almost more significant, because we've been together 7 years but only married 3.

  1. love the target shirt!!! did you die your hair? it looks different. Answering your questions, we haven't hit the one year mark yet, but we actually got married on the same day he asked me out, so I will for sure be recognizing it. If I don't I would feel like i'm not giving any credit to five yrs of our past...

  2. Nanda - I did dye my hair, and let me tell you, it was a disaster! I'm waiting a few weeks before I dye it again so as not to kill my hair with too many chemicals. It was supposed to be a dark auburn, but it's RED. My towels were red-stained for a full WEEK. Awful. But thanks for noticing! :)

  3. I think it looks nice! I did mine back in November and it didn't turn out like I would like (which is how yours turned out). It only shows in the sun, so I'm still working up the courage to do it again.

  4. 1st time we went out was on December 23, 1984. He gave me a sweetheart ring on Valentines day, 1986. He proposed to me on June 26, 1986. We got married four months later on Sunday, October 26. You came to my wedding with Nana and Papaw. I remember him holding you in his lap on the right side of the church, close to the front. I think you were wearing a frilly blue dress. I'll have to find the picture of y'all. Your Mom was one of my bridesmaid's. She wore baby's breath in her hair. The dresses were wine colored floor length with a lace over-lay. Your Daddy walked me down the aisle. He wore a grey tuxedo. He was more nervous than me. He married your Mom at the exact same spot as me. Pastor Darrell Webb officiated.
