31 Days of Anti-Laziness: Counting Change

Friday, October 7, 2011

Hi Howdy Hey!  Are you ready for another installment of...

Yes?  Okay!

Steven has a big jar sitting on his night stand where he puts all of his change at the end of the day.  It has a slot in the top where you put the coins through and it keeps a running count of how much money is in there.  Welllll, the battery died a few *cough*9*cough* months ago so we've had no idea how much money we've accumulated since then.  Hence the laziness.  I was going to take it to CoinStar, but they charge a fee and we're too cheap for that.  So we made a little wager.  Steven guessed $100, and I guessed $140.  We made a gentlemen's agreement (How I Met Your Mother, anyone?), shook hands, and agreed that whoever was closest without going over would get to keep the money.

Let's see who won.

Not pictured: 4 Silver Dollars.

Drum roll please...

The grand total was $110.24.

Steven won.

Bah humbug.

Do any of you have that much spare change?  Think of how many gum balls I could buy with 271 quarters!  Well, 271, I guess.
