The Great (Christmas) Outdoors at 2027

Friday, December 16, 2011

Last weekend, we finally got around to sprucing up the outside of the house for Christmas.

Here she is in all her glory!

As much as I would love to hang icicle lights along our lovely pitched roof, it's just not gonna happen.  That is, until I can somehow convince/bribe Steven.  Seriously, though, how pretty would that be?

Until then, we'll stick with some wreaths, a couple of deer, and our lighted trees.

I absolutely love our wreaths and can't imagine how we ever lived without them!  They're just hung on the glass with Command hooks.

I've had these wreaths since our first Christmas together (2007 if you're keeping track), and as much as I love them, I think they may find a new home next year.  A new home at our house, I mean.  Maybe hung inside somewhere.  Oooh, the possibilities.  I scored these little trees at Belk last year on Black Friday... I think they were $40 for the pair?

Oh, and for the sake of keepin' it real, this is what our grass actually looks like right now.  Oh bermuda grass... I wish you would just take over already so our lawn would look uniformly brown at least.  #thewondersofphotoshop
