Handmade Christmas Gift: Marshmallow Guns

Thursday, January 5, 2012

As I've mentioned before, giving handmade gifts makes my heart happy.  I love it when the recipient opens the gift and their eyes light up because I've made them something they will truly enjoy.  I had five boys to figure out gifts for this year, and when I saw this idea, I knew they would all love it.

I modified the design a little bit and added another handle and some flaming duct tape.  It cost me $10 for the materials to make all 5 guns, and about an hour of my time.  Could it be any easier?  I think not.

I was afraid when they opened the package, they wouldn't know what it was so I made these little tags and tied them on with yarn.  (Turned out I had nothing to worry about, though.  V said as soon as he opened it up and without seeing the tag - "A marshmallow gun!!" Ha.)

Here's the tag if you decide to make your own!

Oh, and don't forget to include a bag of mini marshmallows with strict instructions that every marshmallow shot inside the house must be picked up immediately to avoid a sticky mess.  :)
