53 Paper

Tuesday, March 5, 2013

Happy Tuesday guys!

I had a different post planned for you today, but when I opened my laptop to work on it, I realized I hadn't transferred the photos from my camera... d'oh!  So, as a back-up plan, I thought I would share with you my favorite iPad app:  53 Paper.

It's basically a virtual sketch book.  The app itself is free and comes with one drawing tool: the pen.  If you want the pencil, markers, watercolor brush, etc., you have to pay extra for those.  I bought everything I could for the app (I had a gift card to spend) and I think it was only $10ish.  Well worth the money for the amount of fun I've gotten out of it!

My favorite thing to do is sketch ideas for my house.  I really want to take down the picture frames in my foyer and replace them with a cool lovey dovey gallery wall, like so:

And I'm trying to convince Steven that we MUST have built-in bookcases on either side of our fireplace.  He's a visual person, so having this little rendering will hopefully further my cause.

Oh, and don't you just love my herringbone paint treatment?  Yeah, me too.  :)

So, any other apps I need to know about?  What's your favorite?
