Telephone Tables

I'm tellin ya', I was on a Craigslist shopping spree last week!  Before I found the mail desk, I picked up two end tables for my craft room!  I've had this specific style in mind for a while now, but haven't found any that weren't el cheapo or too expensive.  Telephone tables like these aren't too hard to come by, but finding some that met my high standards was!

They're laminate, which I don't necessarily love, but they're in really good shape and were super affordable at $20 a table.  I'm thinking I'll try my hand at painting them, although I'm scared since I've never painted laminate before.  What color, you ask?  No idea.  I'm going to let it marinate for a while and see what I come up with.  Any ideas?

I only brought one of the tables up to my craft room because I only have room for one right now.  My sewing desk is on the opposite side of the sofa for the time being, although I'm trying to find a new home for it.  The perfect spot has yet to dawn on me.

If you've been around for a while, you'll remember Pearl the gossip bench, a.k.a. my first telephone table.  Do you see a trend happening around here?  I think it's a Mad Men influence...

I got that cutie vintage-looking phone for Christmas (it's from Target), and relocated my fave NC pillow here, where I think it fits in perfectly (purchased from this shop).

Do you have any telephone tables?  I think I have spots for a few more... :)

  1. Girrrrrrrllll... there is NOTHING wrong with being inspired by Mad Men... anything that brings Don Draper to mind... wrap it up...
but when you talk on the phone you have to have a perfect manicure like Betty or Joan... they would never talk on the phone w/o perfect nails...
