Hi guys! I started my new job today and it was good, but I’m exhausted. I’m not used to waking up before 7, much less a little after 6. But I’ve done it before, I can do it again!
I spent my last day of unemployment doing all sorts of little things that have been on my list for a while.
Exhibit A: My poor sad petunias.
They were so beautiful in the spring and got really full in June, then I forgot to water them a few times in July, and our recent beach trip sealed their fate.
Here they were in all their glory.
Ahh, beautiful petunias.
So I dumped out the planters and put them in storage for the winter. Sad!
Exhibit B: Total weed takeover
I hadn’t de-weeded our front flower bed in weeks, and it had been neglected far too long. I filled up a huge car wash bucket with these suckers!
Most of our petunias out front are still hanging in there, although one or two have bit the dust. I almost pulled them all up, but I didn’t want to jump the gun into fall before at least September.
