Okay, I know it’s only October but I’m a planner so making lists and having a gameplan helps my mental state immensely. 😆 And especially when it comes to Christmas time. There is just so much to do and so many memories to be made that I don’t want to forget anything, while also remembering to actually enjoy this time with my family.
I put a poll in my Instagram stories last week and asked which my viewers would rather have – a fall-themed phone wallpaper or a Christmas bucket list – and it was bucket list by a mile!
I searched Pinterest for Christmas or Holiday Bucket List ideas but they were all super generic and I just thought – these aren’t giving anyone any new ideas at all. Plus, I like very specific plans, not just “watch a Christmas movie.”
So, I give to you:
Christmas Bucket List: 12 fun and different things to do with your family this holiday season.

You can right click on the above graphic and Save As to download. It’s formatted for letter size paper.
I think having specific items, like #5: Drink wassail with a slice of apple pie, gives me a different idea for a fun activity to do with my family. I’ll pick a night, mark the calendar, and make sure I have apple cider & wassail mix (I like the Biltmore House Wassail, if you can find that near you). Maybe I’ll even bake the pie from scratch with my girls, who LOVE to help me bake, even if it drives me a little crazy. Intentional mom and daughter time! If I don’t feel up to that, I’ll pick up a frozen apple pie, or one from the bakery section and it’ll be just as good.
It’s really about just setting aside the time and being intentional with the memories.
Be sure to PIN THIS to save for closer to Christmas time (after all, it’s only October 😉) by hovering over the graphic and clicking the Pinterest icon.
Also, if you would rather keep this on your phone and refer to it or post it in Instagram stories (tag me! @love.lake.living), here’s a graphic for that:
