Now, I wouldn’t really consider myself a lazy person in the general sense of the word. In fact, I’m really far from what I would consider full-on laziness. The dishes are always washed right after dinner. Towels are hung on their hooks. Beds are made (even if it’s not until I get home from work at 5). Toilets are (for the most part) clean. Where my laziness sets in is the trivial tasks. The stuff I would like to do but there’s simply always something more pressing (The new episode of Revenge, anyone? Seriously, have you seen that show? There’s no way I’ll be able to do it right so why even bother?
No one ever taught me to sew, so there’s no way I can learn.
I don’t have xyz tool/material I need, so the end result won’t be perfect and therefore there’s no use in doing it.
Basically all of the above hinges on the fact that I’m a little bit of a perfectionist. My life centers around the mantra if you can’t do it right, don’t do it at all.
