While the nursery isn’t 100% completed, I just couldn’t wait any longer to share! It’s mostly done, just a few small decorating things left to do, which I’ll share when we get around to them (hopefully soon!)

Welcome to Baby P’s It’s a Small World Nursery!
(granted, one of the things I have left to do will really drive the Small World theme home, but it’s definitely a post of its own, so I’ll share that when I get it finished)
I love those little sequined boots so much that they make several appearances. They’re so adorable I can hardly stand it!
I know I like to see inside people’s drawers (the furniture kind, not the underwear kind – get your mind out of the gutter!), so here’s a little peek at what’s in Baby P’s.
Onesie sleepers, diapers/wipes, toiletry items, and hair bows in the top drawer.
Burp cloths, more diapers, and her newborn and 0-3 month casual clothes in the middle drawer (nicer outfits are hanging in her closet).
Blankets and diaper genie refills in the bottom drawer.
Does anyone else have a terrible time finding curtains? They’re usually too short or way too long, and mostly boring and very grown-up… not too fun for a kid’s room. I knew very early on that I’d have to make them to get exactly what I want, so I found this fabric (Robert Kaufman “Felicity”) and took a few hours to sew big rectangles. That’s all curtains are – there’s really not an easier beginning sewing project! I also knew that these would need to be lined to block out the sunlight that comes blaring in this room in the morning, so I picked up some white flannel at Hobby Lobby and sewed two more rectangles. I didn’t even have to worry about a rod pocket because there’s this awesome invention called the clip ring! I just clipped the lining fabric and the pretty fabric together (they’re not even attached – talk about easy!), and hung them up. I’m pretty much in love.

Steven’s favorite thing in the whole nursery – the 4moms Mamaroo! I have to say, it is pretty awesome.

Canopy = Outside of an embroidery hoop + tulle curtains + fishing line + eye hook. Easy peasy.
So that’s it! Our little girl’s nursery. I’ll do a separate post with some befores and little projects we did along the way. Now if she would get here already!

I just noticed that I forgot to list the paint color – whoops! It's in the source list now, but for your reference, it's Pittsburgh Paints "Aqua Chiffon". It photographs REALLY bright. It's not quite that bright in person, but it is a nice, saturated turquoise color. Hope this helps!
