Happy Monday lovelies! Yesterday, I decided that I had looked at my old spring mantel (as seen here) one too many times and it was time to switch it up a little bit. I still loved my hydrangea box and the way it fills that space beneath the TV, but the bloom banner needed to go.
Before: Fresh and lively for spring.
After: Simplified for summer!
Basically, I just removed the green candlestick holders, lantern, and bloom banner and replaced them with a couple of old Reader’s Digest books and a wire pear (found at Goodwill last year).
Nothing too dramatic, but definitely cleaner and more summery.

it looks so pretty! i love the pop of yellow! we have our tv above our mantel, too- it's the best spot for it but oh i wish i could put some art or a mirror up there!
